Mr. Rent A Car requires that each renter and additional driver meet the minimum age requirement,
present a valid driver’s license which valid for the entire rental period, and present a major credit
card in own name at the time of rental. For non-Canada citizens, the renter must have passport,
international driver's license and a major credit card in own name at the time of rental.
• Mr. Rent A Car at Vancouver location has no cash rentals available.

Age Requirements |

The minimum age to rent a vehicle at Mr. Rent A Car is 21 years of age;
however, drivers 21 to 24 years of age must pay an additional charge. Please
refer to the Local Policies for specific information and the applicable charge
for drivers 21 to 24 years of age.
• Renters under age 25 may not be eligible to rent the following:
-SUV
-Minivan
-Convertible
-Pick-up truck
-Luxury car

Additional Authorized Drivers |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
An additional authorized driver must satisfy the age requirements of
Mr. Rent A Car, have a valid driver's license, and must meet other rental
requirements. This may include the requirement that the additional
authorized driver present a major credit card at the time of rental.
At Mr. Rent A Car, an additional authorized driver will be required
to pay an additional fee; however, spouses may not be required to pay
this fee. If additional authorized driver is 21 to 24 years of age, they
may be required to pay an additional fee because of such driver's age.
At Mr. Rent A Car, an additional authorized driver will be required to
sign the Rental Agreement at the time of rental.

Choose from three different refueling options:
• Discounted pre-pay
Tell us you wish to purchase a full tank. When you rent the car,
you pay a discounted per-liter charge.
• Self-service
Fill up before you return the car. Present your receipt for the full
tank of gas to avoid a refueling charge.
• Time-saver
Let us refuel the vehicle.
This timesaving option has a per-gallon charge with a small premium
for convenience.

Driving Restriction |

|
|
|
At Mr. Rent A Car, driving is restricted to British Columbia,
Alberta and the state of Washington. Renter must have written permission
from an authorized Mr. Rent A Car representative to leave the province
of British Columbia.

Vehicle Hold Policy |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Mr. Rent A Car will hold a reservation for 59 minutes after the
reserved time specified by the client. After this time the
reservation will be cancelled and marked as a No Show. If the
customer arrives after this period, vehicles are subject to
availability and the reserved rate might no longer be available.

Optional Damage Waiver (ODW) |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Renters may purchase optional damage waiver (ODW) that relieves
them of all financial responsibility for loss or damage to the Mr. Rent
A Car vehicle as long as terms of the Mr. Rent A Car rental agreement
have not been violated. Cost of ODW will vary by car group and rate.
If renter has rental car coverage through renter’s personal insurance
or charge card, please refer to the personal insurance or charge
card for specific information. ODW is not insurance.
Any physical damage to the vehicle is the sole responsibility of the
renter, regardless of fault, unless the Optional Damage Waiver is
purchased. The waiver may have a deductible for which you are
responsible.
